Our Children's Ministry program, for children birth through sixth grade, provides the building blocks for a firm foundation in Christ. Many events are planned throughout the year targeting specific age groups or family members. These are designed to help children grow spiritually while letting them know that being a Christian is fun and exciting. Members and non-members are welcome to attend.
Sunday School 9:00am - Age appropriate teaching and activities for boys and girls of every age that begin the process of laying the foundation for a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Our Sunday School provides Bible teaching, prayer time, scripture memorization, music and class fellowships in and out of the classroom. Children established in the disciplines will continue to grow in Christ.
Children's Chapel 10:00am - Provided during the morning worship hour for children ages 3-Kindergarten. Children enjoy praising, worshiping God and fellowshiping in their childlike way.
Children's Church 10:00am - Provided during the morning worship hour for children in 1st & 2nd grades. Beginning with fellowship time, children experience God through a topical lesson, games and praise and worship. This program is designed to prepare the children for "big" church.
AWANA 6:00-7:30pm - Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed- Classes include handbook time, memorizing scripture and game time. Theme nights add to the excitement as well as special events like grand Prix, quizzing and an annual roller skating party.
Ancillary Programs
God's Girls - Designed for girls 4th-6th grades to guide them in becoming the young women God wants them to be through studying His Word. TLBC women lead the small group and also mentor the girls during their preteen years. After a summer break God's Girls will resume in the fall.
Kids of the KINGdom (KOK) - Boys and girls in 1st-6th grade meet to sing their praises to our awesome God. They enjoy singing, learning about music and fellowship. Special programs are planned and presented throughout the year. the fall schedule will be announced in the coming weeks.
Annual Events
Easter Celebration - Surprises abound for our children Nursery age-6th grade as we celebrate our Risen Saviour.
Kids Kamp - Camp is an opportunity for children to experience a new adventure in friendships and learning together. In addition to strong Bible study, children learn praise songs, enjoy recreational activities, theme nights, games, carnival and Grand Prix races. Campers must have completed the 3rd-6th grade to attend.
Vacation Bible School - VBS is an extension of our Sunday School, offering five mornings of Bible study, music, games, and other various activities. Boys and girls that have completed Kindergarten-6th grade, enjoy sharing this fun-filled week with their friends.
Fall Festival, October 31st - Sharing Christ by offering a safe alternative to trick-or-treating, this evening promises fun. Blessing children with a carnival-like atmosphere at no charge to the community. Children through age 12 are welcome and encouraged to wear costumes of a wholesome nature.
Birthday Party for Jesus - Celebrating the birth of our Saviour, children ages 2-6th grade look forward to this annual event. The story of Jesus' birth is read followed by a visit from Santa, games, cookie decorating and of course, birthday cupcakes.
